Do the surtitles run automatically during a performance?

In order to ensure an optimal and fluid synchronisation of surtitles with the actors‘ performances on stage, the surtitles must be run by a trained operator. This person, who has been taught high quality standards and their particular responsibility during the performance, runs each surtitle individually according to the rhythm of the action and the actors on stage. They can react to unforeseen events, such as jumps in the text, and thus ensure that the surtitles are smoothly integrated into the performance and that the reading speed is optimised.

What integrations does [S] offer? For example, for video-embedded surtitles or automatic operation.

Using [S], it is possible to set up customised automated functions:

Automated loops for playing a welcome announcement or surtitling a pre-recorded part of a show
Interfacing with advanced video control software like Millumin, Isadora, Vingester, Qlab, etc.
Controlling cues from third-party management software via OSC

Does [S] offer additional accessories?

Yes, on request. Drawing on our many years of experience in the sector, we have developed two accessories to facilitate professional surtitle management and ensure optimal quality:

An ergonomic joystick to operate the titles during the performances
A digital keypad to launch surtitles during performances while quickly taking notes. These are recorded live in the software, allowing for a quick overview of improvements to be made for upcoming performances
