Coordination

International festivals in particular are often faced with the challenge of making guest productions linguistically accessible. Panthea is able to coordinate surtitling for all guest productions, or individual pieces on a case-by-case basis.

We can also support you in implementing a consistent accessibility policy for your season: for example, through foreign-language surtitles, pre-recorded sign language videos, adapted surtitles for deaf or hard-of-hearing audiences, or audio descriptions for blind and visually impaired audiences.

Dramaturgical advice

Every play and production is unique, thus requiring individual consideration on the best way to design surtitles, with the aim to maximize accessibility and comprehension for the largest possible audience.

Through the years, we have developed strategies, methods, and tools that enable us to master challenges such as managing improvised passages or constantly changing texts.

Workshops

Our aim is to build or train an independent and responsible team on site, with you. Together we look at what you already have and what we can provide for you. We often start with surtitling philosophy and a concrete introduction to our professional surtitling software [S] and are happy to work with you to develop multi-year step-by-step plans to gradually break down barriers and enable access.

Would you like to offer surtitled performances regularly throughout your season to broaden your audience? Are you organising a festival with an international line-up? Would you like to raise your team’s awareness of the challenges linked to surtitling and accessibility?
