Established in 2016 through the merger of two companies based in Berlin and Paris respectively, the company now brings together a wide network of experts and partners across the continent. All united by a shared vision, common values, and a commitment to high standards of quality.
Panthea offers a comprehensive range of surtitling services. This includes content creation – particularly the preparation and translation of the surtitles – as well as their projection during performances to ensure seamless synchronisation that perfectly complements the staging.
To do this, Panthea uses their surtitling software [S], which is available both online and as a desktop application.
Panthea also offers various types of surtitling equipment for hire or purchase, particularly LED screens. Our teams can also manage on-site technical installation, ranging from temporary setups for single events to the permanent integration of complex systems.
Panthea’s latest innovation, panthea.live, enables the simultaneous distribution of multilingual and adapted surtitles, pre-recorded sign language interpretation videos, and audio description for live shows. All content can be accessed on various fixed or mobile devices, such as smart glasses. An unparalleled multichannel solution to date that offers a completely fresh perspective on accessibility!
Panthea also manages TheatreinParis.com, an online ticket website targeted at international audiences in Paris, the most visited city in Europe.

We are looking for independent professionals, native speakers with proven talent and theatre enthusiasts who are perfectly at ease with written communication and, ideally, have prior experience in the field of surtitling and/or subtitling. Among the missions we offer are: formatting and translation of surtitles, subtitles, theatrical and literary texts, theatre programmes, and cultural websites.
We are also looking for experienced conference interpreters with excellent communication skills to cover seminars and conferences or to accompany foreign teams during festivals.
